The Broadcast Tech Innovation Awards were hosted last Wednesday 25th of November via a live-streamed show by comedian and presenter Rachel Parris, and Broadcast Tech editor Jake Bickerton.
Team Splice were thrilled with Matt Baird, our Senior Dubbing Mixer, winning in the Audio Post Production category for his work on BBC drama, In My Skin, produced by Expectation Entertainment. The drama, directed by Lucy Forbes, tells a story about 16-year-old Bethan, who deals with the comical but painfully real anxieties and insecurities of teenage life. Matt commented, ''Due to an ambitious creative vision, In My Skin was probably the most demanding mix of my career to date. I had to dig deep on this one. I feel like all departments explored the outer limits of what is possible in the BBC Three paradigm. I’m proud to have been a part of it."
Along with the most exceptional tech work produced in the broadcast industry, Broadcast Tech Innovation Awards also celebrated outstanding individuals - one of them being our Post Producer Lily Morgan. Lily won a Young Talent Award in the Production category. Since Lily joined Splice it became very obvious, very quickly that she had huge potential and talent. Promotion followed promotion and accolade followed accolade. She has the ability to deliver on an incredible level considering her experience.
Huge congratulations Matt and Lily!
