Splice is an independent, award-winning post-production company with 3 facilities across Shoreditch and Old Street. We love what we do, and we think it shows. Assistant Sound Editor

We’re looking for an Assistant Sound Editor to join our sound team, assisting on predominantly scripted sound editorial project work but will be involved with general assistance to the wider audio team.
Reporting into the Head of Scripted Sound and the Head of Sound Editorial, the ideal candidate will have specific ambition for a career in post-production sound, have great energy and enthusiasm.

What you’ll be doing
• Conforming dialogue tracks
• Re-conforming edit sessions
• Performing a range of editorial tasks as needed
• Project backup and management
• Direct support to the Head of Sound Editorial
• Internal and external stakeholder liaison
• Involvement with client-attended sessions

Who you are
• Solid proficiency with Avid Pro Tools
• Experience of basic dialogue and sound effects editing
• Excellent listening skills
• Great written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work alone and to tight deadlines
• Ability to work within a team both flexibly and dynamically to suit the needs of projects, clients and the audio team
  • • Excellent attention to detail, a desire for growth and improvement
• A focus on the quality of Splice’s creative output
• Understanding of the company's creative and technical aspirations and requirement
Strong foundational audio post-production skills are required, with training and ongoing support provided.

Advantageous Skills
• Proficiency with dialogue conforming software such as Kraken
• Experience with re-conforming software such as Matchbox
• Experience with dialogue noise removal plugins such as RX and Clear
• Experience compiling sound libraries including creating USC compliant metadata
