...at 6am to get in for 9 ish! I need to be up early as I commute to London from Birmingham, which is slightly bonkers. I try to use the time on my commute for admin. Music or podcasts help me with my commute; I'd definitely recommend listening to ‘’How to Fail?’’ with Elizabeth Day, or ‘’Happy Place’’ with Fearne Cotton &  Alice Liveing's "Give Me Strength"  is also great. 

As Post Production Executives, Ramit and I look after the team. I deal with project allocation, ensuring that everyone communicates with each other effectively and that our team is happy and well.

As a senior member of the team, I help out when there are any problems or questions alongside juggling all the projects that we have.

I have been in the industry for around 18 years; I started as a runner back in 2001. It’s been a long road and I’ve been with a few companies, always working my way up in each one.  I started here at Splice as a Senior Post Producer.

There are so many plates to spin in one day - managing client requests, staying on top of invoicing, handling new quotes and looking after schedules - it’s mainly these things but you kind of have to balance them all together as well as provide attention to incoming queries. Having a great team at my side really helps!

Having worked on Who’s Doing the Dishes, Virago, Carnage with Simon Amstell, Snapshots and My Dad, the Peace Deal and Me have all been very memorable. I've also been involved in a Resolve workflow, working with new kit for a Netflix delivery that will be coming out soon I really hope this is well received as it looks and sounds amazing! We really pulled together as a team to get this one through.

Is seeing your program go out, nothing feels better than that. 

Things that are out of our control are the worst, for example, if there’s a kit issue or a power cut. Regardless of the situation, as post-producers, we have to make the magic happen and we have to be the ones that are accountable and responsible so at times that can be tricky. It’s like being half post-producer, half magician.

My evenings are quite short because of my commute, so my evenings are normally about winding down and prepping for the next day, but during the weekend I would normally catch up with my friends and family, go out for dinner. When possible I really like going to gigs, I love live music!

I originally wanted to be a photographer. I did GCSE photography, but quite early on I realised I didn’t have the best skill-set for it. Photography hasn’t left me though, it’s still part of my life, it’s just not a sole career.
